Refrigerated Stock

Each staff member is asked to help create an environment which encourages respect, honesty, and trust amongst all co-workers and also offers the highest degree of service to each customer; each staff member is asked to help maintain the store image as an ethical and positive place to work and to shop. In addition, TPSS Co-op is committed to being an educational resource to the community on ecological, environmental, and food-related issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verify price tags are present for all products in the department.
- Rotate older stock to the front, making space for new stock.
- Pull short-date or low-quality items and follow established procedures for recording and disposing.
- Assist customers with product questions in a prompt, friendly, courteous manner, referring them to other staff when necessary.
- Stock displays fully without overcrowding; face items on shelves.
- Help with receiving deliveries and rotating overstock into backstock.
- Clean up spills, remove trash promptly, and sweep and mop the floor.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Available to work at any time, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to perform stocking tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Experience serving the public.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple demands.
- Ability to project an outgoing, friendly personality.
- Ability to stand and move around for long periods with and without accommodation.
- Ability to work in cold and wet conditions.
- Willingness and ability to learn and grow to meet the changing requirements of the job.

$17.56 per hour to start and $18.06 per hour after the probationary period.
